We exist to close the gap between design intent and operational reality. Every system we commission, every compliance review we manage, and every report we deliver is grounded in one commitment: buildings that perform as promised — meeting California's Title 24, Title 22, and NFPA mandates for the agencies that own them and the communities that depend on them.
How we got here
CalgreenCX was founded in 2006 by a licensed electrical engineer who saw a persistent problem in construction: buildings that earned certifications on paper but underperformed in practice.
We built our practice around independent verification — third-party commissioning that holds every system accountable to its design specifications, not just its permit drawings. As California's compliance landscape evolved from voluntary LEED programs toward mandatory Title 24 and Title 22 regulations, we evolved with it.
Today we operate across the full project lifecycle, from pre-design compliance planning through post-occupancy performance verification, serving school districts, municipal utilities, transit agencies, healthcare facilities, and state departments throughout California.
